The Elements of Communications Strategy

The Elements

  1. What the communicator (sender) wants of the receiver i.e., to know (to have information),  to act (to do something).

  2. To Whom the sender is  directing the communication

  3. What is being communicated:

  4. How it is being communicated

  5. What is being used to communicate it

  6. Evaluation of the communication,  did it work?

Impacting Communities

Chronic Absence is measured in schools but it begins outside. To have long lasting significant reductions we must inform and listen to more communities than just school communities. Click to learn more.

That team must include our children.

A Team Approach

Collective Action

Power is present with every human being. When we put our heads together to combine our individual power, we can multiply our successes. That is why ESDCD takes the team approach. We are building teams at 5 schools in Detroit that will use their power to sharpen their skills, broaden their reach and keep everyone informed about how to be present at school and for school to be a place that makes you welcome and safe.
